About Me

Hey, I’m Annyce Davis. Thanks for stopping by! I spend my day-to-day working as an Engineering Leader. I’ve specifically been focused on Android applications for the past several years. I’m also an Android Google Developer Expert. This means that I spend a lot of time developing videos, blog posts, and conference talks for the Developer Community. It’s something that I’m very proud of and passionate about.

I’m currently Vice President of Engineering at Meetup. At Meetup, I help create the future of real community where people show up, do things, and actually talk to each other. Shaping what “mobile-first” means for an established company is both challenging and rewarding.

Previously, I was the Software Group Lead at a social impact startup, Zola Electric. There we provided clean, transformative energy to households that suffered from expensive, unreliable grids. I got to help impact the lives of people across Africa by developing a high-quality Android application that was used by the entire sales and service force.

Prior to coming to Zola Electric, I spent 7 years working at the Washington Post. One of my most exciting projects at the Post was working on the PostTV Android application. This project involved multiple form factors: Chromecast, Android TV, tablets, and phones. It was a great experience and I truly enjoyed my time there!

I love creating online training materials. In fact, I’ve created several courses for LinkedIn Learning.

I’m currently in Maryland, USA. However, I travel around the world speaking at conferences; so if we happen to cross paths, I’m always up for a coffee 😉
